Your tracks. Your sequence — all offline.

SequenTrak is an audio playground for performers: load your MP3s onto a grid of track modules, play them on their own or drag them into a seamless sequencing timeline, and read your scripts on the built-in teleprompter.

What it does

30 track modules

Each set gives you a grid of 30 tiles. Drop an MP3 onto any tile — the app reads its ID3 tags to pull in the title, artist and original musical key automatically.

One-touch playback

Tap any tile to hear that track instantly. Progress and now-playing info stay visible at all times.

Sequencing timeline

Drag tiles into the playback stack to build a continuous, seamless sequence. Reorder the stack, play the whole set, or jump to any point in it.

Built-in teleprompter

Attach a script to any track and open the teleprompter for a smooth auto-scrolling read at your own speed, with font sizes and manual drag control.

Multiple sets

Organise your library into sets (folders) — perfect for splitting residencies, events or genres — with fast search across everything you've loaded.

Fully offline

Every MP3 you load is stored permanently on your device. Once your tracks are in, the app works with no internet connection at all.

Community board

A built-in message board for musicians: post tracks you're looking for, gigs wanted or offered, and anything else.

Here is what the builder, an artist, says

A note from the builder

For the past 40 years I have been a radio presenter, club disc jockey and wedding singer, and for all those years as technology moved forward, I have never found a piece of technology that would help me in all of those areas that I liked, or worked in a way that I really found useful, so I built one.

As a singer, I like to constantly update my repertoire and learn new songs, but as I get older, I find it takes me longer and longer to learn the lyrics of songs. I also found trying to play backing tracks from a laptop rather annoying, having to constantly bend down to operate a mouse to select a track and play it in a media player.

So I built SequenTrak, which now gives me a clear screen on a laptop, iPad or iPhone with easily identifiable MP3 boxes, each containing a backing track for the next song I want to sing.

Each MP3 playing box also comes with its own auto-cue, which gives me the lyrics in large print clearly on the screen as that song plays. I can keep the lyrics stationary, or have them scroll up the screen automatically at any speed, or simply use my fingers on a touch screen to advance or retard the lyrics at will. I can also increase or decrease the size of the lyrics, and like an ordinary auto-cue increase or decrease the speed of the scroll.

As a singer I can also insert songs into sets, and add as many sets as I wish, naming each set as they are all totally editable — for example "Set 1", "Set 2", "Ballads", "Dance set", "Crooner classics", etc. Each set has 30 individual MP3 player boxes, all with auto-cue.

As a radio presenter I was always aware of the fact that in the studio we always had a main screen for the music play-out system, another screen for the weather reports and tide information, another screen for traffic reports and road maps, but I never had a decent screen for my radio commercials, station idents, station promos, jingles that was separate from the music play-out system and didn't cost a fortune to buy. So I built one.

Now, as a radio presenter I have a separate screen that houses all of my radio commercials, station identification jingles, promo audio sound bites, general jingles, and any audio interviews that I have pre-recorded prior to the main programme.

As each MP3 player box has its own associated auto-cue page, I can write or copy and paste any research information I have done pertaining to that particular piece of audio. Whether it be a song or artist I want to talk about, or a special event that is coming up, I have the audio linked with any notes I want to use to enhance that part of the broadcast.

This not only works for live radio broadcasts, but also for pre-recorded podcasts that will sew together a professional audio programme, recorded seamlessly into any DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) on a programme or radio podcast platform like Spotify, iHeartRadio, Apple Music, etc.

On all aspects of this app, there is a main broadcast "stack box" which allows each and every individual MP3 player box to be dragged and dropped into a sequential play-out panel to the left of the main MP3 boxes, or above the main MP3 boxes on any iPhone, so that the programme can be played sequentially and automatically, producing a continuous programme — as long as each audio file has been "top and tailed" before loading into the app.

Each version of this app has been designed to work completely autonomously from the internet, storing all the audio and auto-cue files locally on the device, only needing an internet connection for updates.

Now here's the best part:

This app is attached to what we call a “Perpetual Lottery”. What does this mean? As soon as you sign up to a monthly or annual subscription, your membership is entered into a trade lottery style app, which then draws members’ names every month to win prizes of value. And when I say value, we mean shopping vouchers to help alleviate the expense of everyday life. There isn’t one app on the Internet that would do that.

How it works

1

Create your account

Sign up with email or Google — every new account starts with a 7-day free trial.

2

Load your MP3s

Drag files onto the tiles in a set. They're saved on the device, so they stay available offline forever.

3

Play and sequence

Play tiles on their own, or drag them into the stack for a continuous run.

Subscription: after the 7-day free trial, SequenTrak runs on a simple monthly or annual subscription handled securely by Stripe. One subscription works on up to 3 of your devices — sign in on a new device and it's there, with all your tracks still stored locally for offline use. You can manage or remove devices any time.
